FS2002 Los Angeles International (LAX) Scenery Enhancement, By Bill Melichar
This is a new update to my previous LAX2k2 scenery!

During a recent flight out of LAX, I noticed some faults that I made in my first LAX scenery enhancement LAX2k2.zip. This is a whole new enhancement which once again does the inside of the airport more properly placing the palms in clusters at the corners of the parking structures as they really are. I've also made the lighted entry pylons much taller, and rounder, and in a larger circular pattern resembling the real ones. One of the newest things I added to this enhancement was to place concrete tarmacs at the gates around the main terminals, something I could not get Microsoft to do. This scenery also includes a much better grass texture, and I've also added a section of the 405 Freeway going both directions to make for more dramatic night landings. A section of Century Blvd. has also been added going around the airport over to Linclon Blvd.

Installation:

1. Extract scenry into a temporary folder named whatever you like. Then remove the folder within named LAX2, and place it in your FS2002 scenedb folder. Important! If you have my first LAX scenery installed go into FS World tab, and scenery library and delete LAX2k2 from your list. Then go into the FS2002 scenedb folder and remove the LAX2k2 folder, and put it somewhere else on your computer, or if you think the new scenery will be better, which it is, simply delete it. You must do this before installing the new scenery, or they will overlap causing a mess.

2. Turn on Flight Simulator and go to the World tab, then down to scenery library then press add. Find the scenedb folder and open it, then find the LAX2 folder and click on it. LAX2 should appear in the title window, then click OK. Your computer should go black and make a lot of gurgling noises, and when it comes back up you will have the new scenery. That's it! Then sit back and enjoy your flight into Los Angeles, and when you land, download one of those nifty little cars to drive around the inside of the airport.

This scenery does decrease frame rates slightly for LAX, but they are still very acceptable even in my most hungry frame rate eating aircraft.
Happy flying in La La Land!
